SUMMARY:Tuesday Connection – Founder's Square Tea Room & Exploring
DESCRIPTION:Participants will meet MHI staff at Holly Berry Tea Room in League City for an old-fashioned tea party between 1:00 pm and 2:15 pm.  Then\, we will start exploring and shopping around Founder’s Square.  At the Holly Berry Tea Room you can wear a hat\, pick out your tea\, and enjoy a sweet treat. Between 2:15 pm and 3:00 pm\, we will  explore the nearby shops in the historic Founders Square. The shops we can visit are: GingerSnaps\, Annette’s Emporium\, Nana’s Attic\, and Mommie Chic and Me. By participating in this Tuesday Connection event\, participants will be out in their community socializing with their peers and reducing any feelings of isolation.

DESCRIPTION:Participants will bring 1898 history to life by touring and participating in activities at the West Bay Common School Children’s Museum. This one room schoolhouse was built in 1894. You will have a history lesson using lap slates\, listen to a player piano while dancing\, participate in 1890 outdoor games like hoop and stick\, receive a well pump lesson\, and explore the life and times of this town through a display of artifacts and exhibits. Participants will learn about the history of their community while socializing with their peers.

They’ll get to determine which colors they want to use and visit with their peers as they finalize their pieces. By participating in this class\, participants will continue to work on their hand-eye coordination\, engage in creative thinking and problem solving\, and be able to take home completed artworks to enjoy with their loved ones.

DESCRIPTION:Participants have an opportunity to socialize with their peers while enjoying the holiday lights and eating lunch. Participants will meet at Entrance 1 which is near H&M\, between JC Penney and Macy’s\, across from Bank of America. Participants will walk around the mall to look at the holiday lights and exhibits. Lunch will be at the Food Court between 12:00 and 12:45. Pick-up at 1:30pm at Entrance 1. Consumers will have an opportunity to practice their social skills while making connections with peers out in their community.
