SUMMARY:Youth Transition Program – Healthy Reactions
DESCRIPTION:Youth from Friendswood HS  will learn about healthy reactions to challenges or problems that can arise with goals they set for themselves. We’ll complete activities geared towards creating positive inner self talk and how to handle failure or setbacks in a way that is not damaging to one’s self esteem or future goal setting efforts. By participating in this activity\, participants will strengthen their ability to set realistic goals\, will have an increased understanding of the importance of emotional regulation\, and will be able to practice positive self-talk in a peer setting.

SUMMARY:Cooking Class - CCISD Clear Falls
DESCRIPTION:Participant will practice their knife skills by helping make Chicken Caesar Salad. They will review the recipe before starting\, gather and measure ingredients\, follow recipe steps\, and clean up directions. Participant will get to taste their finished product and take home a copy of the step-by-step recipe (including clean-up directions) if wanted. This will enable the individual to be better equipped for independently making a Lunch or Dinner meal. NOTE: This class will be Gluten Free.
