YTP-REVIEWING YOUR RESULTS AND COOKING GINGERBREAD

Participants will identify their top interest cluster and walk to a poster displaying the word and pictures of careers relating to it. They will discuss what they like about the example jobs on the chart. Participants will then watch videos of potential careers that fall under the different interest categories. In the second hour, participants will practice their knife skills, use a whisk, a microwave, and measure ingredients to make Gingerbread Fudge. They will review the recipe before starting, gather and prepare ingredients, follow recipe steps, and clean up directions. Participants will get to taste their finished product. This will enable the individual to be better equipped for independently using their knife skills and the microwave to prepare a dessert and how to relate their interests in cooking to future employment opportunities.
