Soft Skills to Pay the Bills: Success and Communication

In this installment of Soft Skills to Pay the Bills, participants will collaborate on two activities dealing with conflict resolution and defining success. Conflict is a natural part of life and we see it play out in relationships, workplaces, and our favorite movies/tv shows/books! We’ll start with an activity geared towards discussing a conflict in a recent tv show, movie, or book we each have seen recently and review the ways the characters handled the conflict. We’ll then make our own mock PSA (public Service Announcement) with our ideas of how to handle a conflict well in the workplace! Our second activity is one that will allow participants to define success for themselves in a creative way. Participants will get to choose to draw, act out, sing , write about what success will look like for them as they navigate adulthood and work!
