Mounting Horizons (MHI) will present Living Well in the Community (LWC) Peer Supported workshops about setting and working on quality-of-life goals.
“Living Well” has two different and related meanings – developing healthy living habits and living a meaningful rich life. With MHI Facilitators, during the Orientation session participants will identify how their life is now and how they would like for it to be. Like most people, you probably love some parts of it and wish you could change other parts. People who work toward meaningful goals are more likely to learn and practice skills for healthy and independent living. Practicing skills for healthy living can help prevent physical and mental health conditions that people with disabilities may experience at higher rates than people without disabilities.
