At this point in the training, we have learned to describe our disabilities in our own words, can identify the symptoms/barriers we experience as well as any triggers that impact our mental health. Now, we will work on exploring coping strategies that we can utilize to help us cope with disability-related symptoms and both internal and external stressors. We’ll then tie in our disability awareness and showcase how coping strategies can help us improve upon emotional regulation and disability management. By strengthening these core skills, participants will improve upon these basic components of resiliency and be better equipped for handling stress and workplace dynamics in a healthy manner.
