Participants will practice their knife and cooking skills by helping make Sesame Ginger Chicken Stir Fry. They will begin by reviewing the recipe, gather and measure ingredients, review and use of safe knife skills and safe raw meat handling, follow recipe steps, and clean up directions. Participants will get to taste their finished dish and take home a copy of the step-by-step recipe, including clean-up directions. This experience will help individuals to be better equipped to use their knife skills independently, handle raw meat safely, and use the stovetop to prepare lunch or dinner.
