This Staying on Course and Maintenance session acknowledges that no one can eliminate all feelings of stress and frustration, but that we can guard ourselves against becoming discouraged and giving up on our goals. Discouragement can come from outside and inside us, and so can encouragement. Maintaining the changes that participants have made throughout this workshop requires consistent motivation and support built into their daily lives. With MHI Facilitator support, participants recognize those outer and inner voices that either discourage or encourage them, identify which stress management techniques help them stay motivated, so they can stay on track towards their goals.
